Weekly Recap 9/9-9/15

Happy Sunday!!

Here’s last week’s work outs

Sunday-rest
Monday-yoga 90 minutes (class was scheduled 60 minutes but ran over. Best hand stand ever!)
Tuesday-5 miles
Wednesday-7 miles
Thursday-2 mile walk, 40 min and 20 min core/arm circuit
Friday-off (dentist)
Saturdays-10 miles

Total miles- 22
Total cross training-150 minutes

It was a pretty good week. I was REALLY happy to get a long run in this week.

Today I had big plans! Huge! Actually they were super chill and included lots of “Say Yes To The Dress” and doing laundry. As well as make some flour less peanut butter chocolate chip cookies.

So delish!

1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg
Handful of chocolate chips
Sea salt optional

Mix all ingredients except salt together, refrigerate for 10-15 minutes for batter to harden. Ball dough and press fork in each cookie. * optional * Sprinkle sea salt on each cookie before baking

Bake 350 for 9-12 minutes

Easiest cookie recipe ever! So good, even the husband loves these!

I also caught up with an old cousin!

We went to a painting studio, and the instructor guided us through a fun and festive Halloween painting. It wasn’t easy (took us 4 hours!), but I think mine turned out pretty good.

The 3 bats were my idea, one for each of us. Jason, Carlo, and I.

I love the idea of hanging something personal on the wall every Halloween.

And where was hubs and Carlo during all of this?

Yep, they went fishing in their new-to-them boat on the American River in Sacramento. Unfortunately they didn’t catch anything. SUPPOSEDLY a crazy sea lion was eating lots of salmon near them, and scaring off the salmon. Hubs showed me a video of the sea lion, where I must have blinked when the sea lion appeared, because I didn’t see any sea lions in the video.

How was your work outs last week?

Have you ever tried painting?

Cheers!

I love that your ‘weekly recap’ blog opened with a beautiful photo of cookies. And then to read that they are flourless and that you included the recipe! I am excited to try this out. Thank you so much for sharing and it does sound easy!! Love the Halloween painting. I love this time of year! I do like the idea of handmade Halloween decor. I will have to get handy soon! Great job with the workouts and I am motivated by the variety you put into your exercise and the balance you seem to keep in your life. Keep it up because it’s inspiring! I am sure I am not the only one to think that!

Balance. It happens when you least expect it πŸ˜‰ thanks for pointing it out. I had no idea I looked balanced. Hehe. You definitely have to try the cookies. And you can sub brown sugar for the sugar and it tastes just as good. You probably even have the ingredients in your cabinet.

    Oh those cookies look delish!
I used to love painting but haven’t done any since I was 19/20 – looks like you had a lot of fun though!
